Colac Area Health Auxiliary

Like making money, then giving it away?

Members needed to help fundraise to purchase equipment for Colac Area Health.

Two fundraising events a year – June fundraising Morning Tea and October Linen Raffle

Needed new members and one off volunteers to help sell raffle tickets this October

Role ongoing – Meetings once a month to organise events.

 

Miller House (formally the Adult Day Activity Program)

Got a skill or talent you want to share or show off?

We are looking for volunteers to share their talents for participants to either learn a skill, maintain a skill or just to enjoy.

How often and when will vary depending on what you have to offer.

They also need someone to help with morning tea each day or as often as possible – baking scones and serving.

Food handling certificate required (can be done onsite). This is a rostered role. 

 

 

Patient Transport

On the road again – like driving?

A vital service to the community

Volunteers needed involving the transport of patients or goods between destinations for medical appointments, trips can be local or to Geelong, Warrnabool and sometimes Ballarat. The driving role is an ‘as needed’ basis.

 

Acute Ward Volunteer

Kind busy bee needed

Volunteer to work within a busy ward environment and be flexible around tasks asked of them.

The role would involve but not be limited to helping patients with basic needs (not personal care), activities, company and support. This is a rostered role.

 

Concierge role

Do you know all about Colac?

Volunteer support to aid the public in providing a welcome face, direction and a personal presence when coming into the hospital. Must know the layout of hospital and be physically fit. Training around services offered by hospital required. We need two volunteers each day, one for morning and afternoon. This is a rostered role.

 

Survey Volunteer

Do you like research and gathering information?

Occasional surveys for different departments capturing 4-5 people a week over for 2 months in Acute Ward/Corangamarah/Miller House on Ipad to help improve our services, on an ‘as needed’ basis.
