Podiatry

Our Podiatry Department are able to assess, diagnose and treat a range of foot problems. Our team aims to improve mobility and independence of people by preventing and managing foot problems and associated conditions such as diabetes.

What we do

  • High risk foot care, wound management and offloading
  • Vascular and neurological assessments
  • Nail surgery
  • Diabetes assessment and education
  • Paediatric assessments
  • Biomechanical assessments
  • Orthotic Therapy
  • Dermatological assessment and management
  • Abnormal nails
  • Nail care for people who are unable to manage their own.

How to access this service
A referral is required from your GP/Medical Specialist.

If you are 65 Years old and over, or  identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and are 50 years old or over, you will need a referral through My Aged Care to receive government subsidised services if they are not related to a period of rehabilitation or a specialist clinic service. You can contact My Aged Care through the website or by phone or request support from our staff to complete this referral.

Please note that demand for this service is high.
